Wall and floors oh my!

I took a nice visit out to the Ozark site to see if the cold and rainy weather put a damper on anything.

Fear not my readers! The construction still goes on!

When I arrived at the location, the construction crew was busy filling in the big gapping hole.

I was allowed to walk around and thought this was a fun view from the elevator pit.  Don't jump!

The walls and floors have been poured and there is now water pipes for the basement bathrooms.

You can see the water pipes sticking up along with the complete floors and walls.
Ahh .. nothing beats the smell of new concrete in the morning! I don't know about you but I can't wait to see more! Keep following me as the construction continues!

I'm BACK!! (Did you miss me?) I am happy to inform you that construction is still going according to plan!
Flattening the ground is completed and now the basement and walls are being poured.
As you can tell, I stopped by and took a few pictures of our progress.

Someone was even nice enough to leave us our first piece of decoration. (wink wink)

This is the elevator pit (or what I like to affectionately refer to as the start of a brand new friendship between me and the elevator... since stairs are not my friend).

I stopped by a week later and more progression:

We are so excited to now have something visual for you to admire. ;)

Foundation is being worked on..

Hello fellow readers!

I just wanted to quickly post to let you know that we are still on course!
We did run into some rock where the elevator will go, but for now.. the digging is done and the foundation will be poured! WOO HOO!

As soon as the weather cooperates (rain, rain go away), I will take a visit down to the lot and snap a few pictures for you.

Holy Moly.. thats a big hole in the ground!

If you have gone by our construction site, you might be thinking one thing:

"Dang that's a big hole!"

...and of course, the observant you would be totally correct! That is indeed a big hole.

You just have no idea how excited I am about this giant hole. It means that we have not encountered that common evil villain known as Missouri rock. The basement is being dug as we speak and we are currently moving along as scheduled with bulldozers movin' daily. Cross your fingers and keep saying it with me "No rocks.. no rocks..."

Special thank you to Federal Construction for letting me get close enough to take pictures. I did indeed stay behind the orange fencing, but alas they suggested I not go in.... can't imagine why lol.

I did however want to leave you with one final picture. For some reason there is a giant rock sitting on the edge of our property. I guess this will be a souvenir for later seeing as it's as big as me and impossible to move. If you feel the need to venture out to the site, I would love to see a picture of you and Rocky together. If you havent gathered, Rocky is my new nickname for my buddy.

Day 1 of Ozark Construction is under way!!

Holy Blogging Credit Union Batman.... We are underway!!!

Today is the start of my blog... (Wipes a tear from my eye). My name is Stacy and I am the Director of Marketing for Educational Community Credit Union. I have been given the greatest opportunity in the world to be the Marketing Director and the blogger for our new branch location to come.

As I see it, choosing the right path when making any decision can be difficult – options seem to scream at you from all directions. How do we know we’re making the right choice in locations? When is the best time to build? Well, we try to educate ourselves and make the decision based on all of the available information. ECCU has done it's homework and we feel the best way to benefit our membership is to provide convenience, member service, and of course location, location, location!!

Which brings me to what I want to scream and proclaim at the top of my lungs!!!

Wedneday August 24, 2011, work began in Ozark for our new OZARK BRANCH LOCATION!!!

With the dirt mounds and signs put in place, we are starting on a long adventure. We were so excited that the real work began as crews from Federal Construction began breaking ground. The project will run until at least March 2012 and a Grand Opening schedule around the same time.

This is the start of a beautiful relationship between you the reader, and me the blogger. Speaking for ECCU, we want to keep you informed of all "the happenings" from now until the completion. I will be keeping you up-to-date with photos and of course "words of wisdom" from yours truely.
